In ancient writing literatures, "ye" and "zhi" were always a couple of debatable words. Up to the present, the earliest word of "ye" was appeared on "dayuding at the middle of XiZhou and just few in liangzhou literatures. However, it was largely appeared and frequently used in bamboo slip at Warring States Period. This research compared all of the confirmed grapheme of "ye" and "zhi" that were appeared in ancient writing literatures, which used to summarize the pattern of grapheme development. Couple with the usage in the available ancient literatures, we got the internal relationship.
