| With the trend of globalization, economic development have accelerated the international exchange of the funds, personnel, goods, information and technology, shortened the distance between countries and played an important role in promoting the exchange politics and culture. At the same time, international business communication has become more frequent, which needs the business talents at all levels. In order to meet international development, higher vocational colleges have set up the business English major for training applied talents.However, in Jilin Province many higher vocational colleges have also set up the business English major in order to cultivate practical business English talents to meet the market demand. But, the business English major is an emerging specialty in higher vocational colleges, is still in exploration and not more mature than the other established majors. The curriculum is the core of business English major; it is the basis of reforming curriculum model and is related to the future development of major. It is also related to whether the colleges can cultivate the talents which adapt to development of market economy. Therefore, the reform of Project-based Curriculum of business English major of higher vocational colleges has great significance in the overall construction and development prospects of business English major.Firstly, higher vocational Project-based curriculum and business English were defined and elaborated in this paper. Higher vocational Project-based curriculum that is a kind of curriculum model which takes job task as the center, the education independently choose, organize and learn working knowledge. And business English is special English which focuses on the practice of teaching process, highlights the target of jobs, develop practical ability of students.Survey research was mainly used in this paper; three higher vocational colleges of business English major in Jilin Province were selected as the survey object. Investigating the curriculum model of three higher vocational colleges of business English major, there were several problems in curriculum model through statistical analysis. Such as, the curriculum structure is irrational, teachers' lack of practical experience and teaching methods are simple, the internship and practical training conditions drop behind relevant teaching materials lackand curriculum evaluation system is not perfect. However, the fuzzy personnel training objective, low quality students and not distinctive feature of vocational education is the main the reason which to cause these problemsThe reform based on the Project-based Curriculum, in the analysis of specific work under the premise which set a reasonable curriculum to meet market demand for talents so that can achieve the purpose of improving students'professional ability. Finally, the paper propose the solution and recommendations which includes the determination of the course objectives, the reconstruction of the course content, the perfection of the implementation background of curriculum, the improvement of the teaching materials and teaching methods and the change of the curriculum evaluation system to rebuild the Project-based Curriculum model of business English major of higher vocational colleges in Jilin Province. |
