As the demands of chip technology development and practical application, the development of embedded system has always been the focus concerned by people in recent years due to its flexible clipping of soft hardware. Over the years, quantities of intelligent instruments are developed that brings lots of convenience in people's life, including intelligent house and home, smart phones and intelligent public transport. For the instrument and meter, the intellectualized requirements are put forward, based on the operating mode of poor efficiency with time and energy wasting of traditional instruments. Against the natural science fund in Yunnan province, the paper performs the intelligent instrument—six-meter design based on PIC16F883&Meter-Bus as well as hardware design of blood&oxygen detector based on Aduc706and ARM7TDMI.Above all, aiming at the time and energy wasting and low accuracy of traditional manual meter reading, it can hardly meet the needs in today's information age. The paper exploits remote meter reading system with the core of PIC16F883, the system development platform of MAPLAB and the data channel of M-Bus. The system mainly consists of two parts, i.e., software and hardware. For the hardware hereinto, it mainly includes power, double photoelectric tube drive, receiving circuit, A/D sampling, PIC16F883, up modulation, down demodulation, flexography and address downloader. For the software, the Gray code truth table of six-meter is deduced in accordance with Gray code, rank size of double photoelectric tube and positional information of character wheel black and white items. Furthermore, the software, main program and subprogram flow diagrams for the system are given on the communication with the general upper computer. The subprogram flow diagrams consist of array analysis, address setting, double photoelectric tub lightening and reading, etc. A large number of experiments have demonstrated that the six-meter has the features of small cost, low consumption and powerful antijamming capability.In addition, it takes a part in the hardware design of blood&oxygen detector. As is well-known, oxygen is the fundamental of life that people cannot live without it while they'll die with hypoxia for a long time. The oxyhemoglobin is the oxygen content in the blood that has significant diagnosis meaning in the clinical medicine. At present, however, the instruments with high measurement accuracy at the market are very expensive while the cheap can hardly meet the requirements on the measurement accuracy. Therefore, it has important practical significance to develop blood&oxygen detector with low price and high accuracy. Selecting the processor of Aduc7060, it adopts ARM7TDMI as the core for the blood&oxygen detector, with high-precision Sigma-Delta A/DC of24digits, which ensures the veracity of measurement accuracy. For the hardware, it mainly consists of power, photoelectric drive, signal amplification, signal separation, protection, display, clock and reset circuit, etc. Lots of experiments and texts have certified that the system can fetch up to higher measurement accuracy but with very low cost.
