| Professor Wei Zhizhen is a well-known scholar; therapist and educator in China's medicine industry.He spent his all life in medical study and has obtained rich achievements. It is my honor to follow Professor Wei for 3 years, I have systematically studied his theocratic experience and have learned a lot. This paper focuses on the experience of Professor Wei in vertebrobasilar insufficient blood. The text can be divided into six parts, i.e. abstract, overview, annual summary on the academic thought of Professor Wei Zhizhen,clinical study of professor Wei Zhizhen on using Yang Yin Ping Gan Jiangni treatment method in vertebral-basilar artery, acknowledgment and personal resume.The insufficient blood supply of vertebral-basilar artery is a kind of ischemia in brain stem, cerebellum or occipital cortex induced by various diseases, it is a kind of common clinical symptom. The most common syndrome is "Vertigo." In a wide range of classic Chinese medicine books of ancient China, it has numerous description on "Vertigo", it is pointed out that "Vertigo" has close relationship with sputum, weak, fire, wind and so on, therefor various theories have been formed and various comments have greatly enriched the acknowledge of people on this disease. But modern scholars have put forward a variety of perspectives on this; they have enriched the theory of Chinese medicine about "Vertigo" etiology, pathogenesis and treatment. Professor Wei Zhizhen believes that when get vertebrobasilar blood insufficiency, the patients not only have dizziness, but also often accompanied by feeling of fullness in the head, headache, visual rotation, tinnitus and other symptoms, when recognizing symptoms in Chinese medicine treatment, most of them are in yin deficiency and yang excess, so the disease should be treated by Yang Yin Ping Gan Jiangni treatment method.Currently Chinese medicine field mostly adopt "blood circulation" method to treat cerebral arteriosclerosis and cerebral blood insufficiency. However, Professor Wei believes that the effect of "Yang Yin Ping Gan Jiangni treatment method" is better after long-term clinical observation, because most patients'symptoms are:dizziness, feeling of fullness in the head, become serious when feel ing tired and upset,feel upset and easy to feel anxious, dry mouth, red tongue and yellow coating,string and wire like pulse, all of these are the expression of "deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin,liver-yang hyperactivity", so the symptom differentiation of most patients are "deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin, liver-yang hyperactivity". Meanwhile, Professor Wei also confirmed that the effect of Yang Yin Ping Gan Jiangni treatment method is better than general "Method for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis "by using clinical observation. One cerebrovascular ultrasound inspection, the cerebral arteriosclerosis and the improvement of cerebral blood supply indicator, the"Yang Yin Ping Gan Jiangni treatment method" is also better than "Method for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis".In addition, the " insufficiency of blood supply" is also not the same concept with " Qi and blood deficiencies" in Chinese medicine, it is not suitable to use tonifying Qi and blood as a whole, it still needs to carry out treatment after differentiating syndrome. Similarly, whether the Chinese medicine for treatment of "vertebrobasilar blood supply insufficiency" and "coronary blood supply insufficiency" can be commonly used due to"arterial blood supply insufficiency", this should be determined by whether it has same syndrom types.In 1962, Professor Wei Zhizhen was graduated from Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now Beijing University of Chinese Medicine) as the 1st group of Bachelor of Chinese Medicine, during his study in school, he was taught by QIN Bowei, Ren Yinqiu, Shi Jinmo and other contemporary Chinese medicine masters,later he took Mr. Qin Bowei,China's famous scholar, therapist and educator in modern Chinese medicine field as his teacher, he began to write books as early as September,1963. In CCVD and diabetes, Professor Wei Zhizhen has especially carried out study on arrhythmia, diabetic heart disease, cerebral arteriosclerosis, cerebral blood insufficiency and so on, he has obtained very good achievement and has established his special syndrome differentiation idea and method about arhythmia,he has provided out innovative treatment method on rapid arrhythmia,he has published a book of "Chinese medicine treatment on arrhythmia" and Health Bureau. Professor Wei has devoted his life to the study of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, he has been involved in a variety of diseases, such as arrhythmia, coronary heart disease, diabetes, cardiac insufficiency, hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, etc., he has accumulated rich clinical experience and has formed its own unique theory.The prescription often used by Professor Wei Zhizhen in treating vertebrobasilar atheroscleros is Liver softening dizziness removing soup(self prepared), prescript ion:radix paeoniae alba30g, folium mori 10g, chrysanthemum 10g, fresh stone (boiled firstly) 30g, nacre mother of pearl (boiled firstly) 30g, uncaria10g, gastrodia elata 10g, Ligusticum wallichii 15g, the root of red-rooted salvia 30g, medicinal cyathula root 30g, earthworm 30g, rhizoma cyperi 10g,the root of three-nerved spicebush 10g. Clinical application of this prescription it often adds or reduces certain medicine according to the syndrome of patient. For example adding spiritual magnet, cicada shell,eustoma ressellianum for tinnitus; adding semen cassiae and Flastem milkvetch seed for dizziness; adding parasitic loranthus, teasel root, Eucommia ulmoides for weak waist and knee; adding LotusPlumule,Coptis chinensis, fructus forsythiae,jasmine, Scutellaria baicalensis, eustoma ressellianum for upset, insomnia and sleep difficult; adding lily for early wakeup; adding spine date seed and Tuber Fleeceflower Stem for dreaminess. Adding and reducing in clinical treatment, the effect is very good.This study is prepared according to the the academic thought of professor Wei Zhizhen on using Ping Gan Qian Yang Jiangni method to treat vertebrobasilar blood insufficiency. Selecting of clinical outpatients and partial inpatients from Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Capital Medical University, there are 143 cases of cerebral arteriosclerosis showed in brain ultrasonic examination. The treatment group totally has 72 patients, and the comparison group totally has 71 cases,the treatment group totally adopts Zhi Yin Qian Yang Pinggan Jiangni method and liver softening dizziness removing soup, the comparison group adopts "Method for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis" and Bu Yang Huan Wu Soup, the treatment period is 2 month. The study has compared the changes of two groups before and after treatment, it has adopted the method of cerebrovascular ultrasound and clinical syndrome, the results show that:the liver softening and dizziness removing soup can effectively treat vertebrobasilar atherosclerosis and the effect is better than Bu Yang Huan Wu Soup, the specific results include:excellent effect of clinical syndrome, excellent effect of blood flow rate of basal arteries, excellent effect of blood flow improvement of left vertebral artery and excellent effect of blood flow improvement of right vertebral artery.In addition, this paper has made a overall summary on the academic thought and achievement of Professor Wei. In CCVD and diabetes, Professor Wei Zhizhen has especially carried out study on arrhythmia, diabetic heart disease,cerebral arteriosclerosis,cerebral blood insufficiency and so on, he has obtained very good achievement They include:the establishment of special syndrome differentiation idea and method about arhythmia, he has provided out innovative treatment method on rapid arrhythmia, the medicine researched by using that method has obvious treatment effect and there is no toxic side effect.It is able to completely cure the cases that the western medicine only can control but can not completely cure. He has been taken "treatment of rapid arrhythmia by tuning pulse soup" as a topic to set up project and carry out research observation in Beijing city. The total effective rate of 200 cases treated has reached 97%, the effective rate is 69.5%, there is no obvious difference when comparing with the comparison group of western medicine Propafenone,but the effects on functional arrhythmia is better than Propafenone, and there is no toxic side effect. As early as 1980s,he has taken "The clinical and experiment research on using Tang Xin Lin to treat diabetes heart disease" as topic to set up project and carry out research observation in Beijing, the result is that Tang Xin Lin can obviously improve the syndrome of diabetes heart disease and pathological changes of coronary artery, cardiac muscleand capillaries, it can improve heart function and it has effects to adjust the autonomic nervous disease of heart, it has no liver impair, kidney impair and other adverse reactions. Tang Xin Lin has obvious clinical treatment effect on diabetic heart disease, it has totally observed 300 cases, the total effective rate is 92.3%, obvious effective rate 70.7%, the total effective rate of comparison group is 79%, the obvious effective rate is 56%, the comparison of two groups has obvious difference. Until now, Professor Wei has published about 30 papers and 17 special articles in some important academic journals both at home and abroad as the 1st writer, which is the embodiment of its academic through and clinical experience in his life time. Objectve:to observe the contrast of cruative of the method "Yangyin Ping Gan Jiangni" and "Huo Xue Hua Yu" to treat ver tebrobasilar blood insufficiency.Means:there are 143 cases of cerebral arteriosclerosis altogether, The treatment group totally has 72 patients, and the comparison group totally has 71 cases。the treatment group totally adopts Yang Yin Pinggan Jiangni method and liver softening dizziness removing soup, the comparison group adopts "Method for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis" and Bu Yang Huan Wu Soup, the treatment period is 2 month. The study has compared the changes of two groups before and after treatment, it has adopted the method of cerebrovascular ultrasound and clinical syndrome.Result:Two groups have the Statistical differences in the terms of cerebrovascular ultrasound and clinical syndrome. (P<0.05)Conclusion:Yang Yin Pinggan Jiangni method can effectively treat vertebrobasilar atherosclerosis and the effect is better than "Huo Xue Hua Yu" method. |
