Clinical Observation Of Combination Program Of Acupuncture And "Occipital-Knocking Therapy" On Liver Yang Hyperactivity For Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency

Objective:To investigate "occipital-knocking therapy"binding with acupuncture on the liver-Yang hyperactivity of the vertebrobasilar insufficiency(VBI) certified rehabilitation effect. Clinical efficiency,signs and symptoms integration and blood velocity mean (Vm) inspected by Transcranial Doppler Sonography(TCD) were indicators. And approach the mechanism of action about the combined therapy of the rehabilitation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), wishing to offer an idea on the treatment of VBI.Meathods:To choose certified outpatient and inpatient with liver-Yang hyperactivity of VBI, a total of 56 cases. According to random digits table , all cases were randomly divided into two groups, each group for 28 cases. The control-group programmes for Sibelium plus acupuncture, treatment group programmes on the basis of the control-group binding with "occipital-knocking therapy". Sibelium 5mg, per night, oral;Acupuncture ,Du20,LR3,KJ3,LI4 as the main points , coordinnation of acupoints according to the accompanied signs and syndroms to take. Every time for 30 minutes,once a day;" occipital-knocking therapy " as a kind of health massage of TCM , once for every morning and night. First to make both hands heat,then put two hands tightly on the aural region to make buzzing in the ears. At equal pace,hold the head with the thumb and the little finger, other fingers together or interlace percuss the occipital ,better for hearing the drum sound, once percuss thirty six order .at last ,take deep breath for 5 times. 10 days for treatment, a total of two observation course, resting for two or three days during treatment breaks. Following indicators were compared before and after treatment:(1) clinical efficiency; (2) symptoms integration (3) blood velocity mean (Vm) inspected on the vertebral artery and the basilar artery by Transcranial Doppler Sonography(TCD).Results:1.After the treatment, the clinical efficiency and clinical symptoms integral had statistical significance. Comparison of the two groups there was a significant difference (P <0.05), theeffect of the treatment group was better than the control group;2. Vm inspected on the vertebral artery and the basilar artery by Transcranial DopplerSonography(TCD) showed:before treatment,there were not differences between twosets;before and after treatment, Vm had significantly different (P <0.05),both of theprograms were effective;after the therapy,Vm of the treatment group improved significantlymore than the control group (P <0.05).Conclusions:1.The combination program of acupuncture and "occipital-knocking therapy " can improvethe signs and symptoms of VBI and the Vm of vertebrobasilar artery.2.The combination program of acupuncture and "occipital-knocking therapy " took bettereffect on the the liver-Yang hyperactivity of VBI.3.The combination program of acupuncture and "occipital-knocking therapy " offers abeneficial idea for the rehabilitation of VBI.
