Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the acupuncture of Yang Lao ponit to treat cervical spondylopathy of neck type and to select the best clinical treatment for cervical Spondylopathy of neck type. Methods:This study adopts the methods of randomized and controlled clinical observation, and according to the inclusion criteria, randomly divides the 60 cases of cervical spondylopathy of neck type collected by the Acupuncture Department from our hospital into Yang Lao group, Jia Ji group and integrated group (acupuncture of Jia Ji point and Yang Lao point),20 patients one group equally. Then, it compares patients'improvement of symptom and pain scores and cervical dysfunction indexes by these three methods after one course respectively.Results:1. The comparison of integrated effects:in Yang Lao group:3 cured cases,9 effective cases,6 ineffective cases, and 2 failed cases, with 66.67% efficiency; in Jia Ji Group:8 cured cases,10 effective cases,1 ineffective case, and 1 failed case, with 94.75% efficiency; in integrated group:11 cured cases,7 effective cases,1 ineffective case and 1 failed case, with 94.74% efficiency;2. The analgesic efficacy:the MPQ scores of these three groups after treatment are significantly decreased (P<0.05); from the comparison of the analgesic efficacies between two groups, no difference is found between Yang Lao group and Jia Ji group, or between integrated group and Jia Ji group (P> 0.05) but the analgesic efficacy of the integrated group is better than that of Yang Lao group (P<0.05).3. Indexes of cervical dysfunction:disability indexes of three groups are decreased (P<0.05). The decrease of the index of cervical dysfunction of Jia ji group is better than that of Yang Lao group, and the improvement of cervical dysfunction of the integrated group is better than that of Yang Lao group but no big difference is found between the integrated group and Jia Ji group.Conclusion:1. Yang Lao point acupuncture treatment of cervical spondylopathy of neck type has certain clinical effect. Although the analgesic effect is not as good as the other two groups, it still has certain advantages because it is easy to operate only through a single point;2. The treatment of acupuncture through Yang Lao point has certain clinical efficacy to improve cervical dysfunction but its clinical efficacy is slightly lower than that of Jia Ji group and that of the integrated group;3. The clinical efficacy of the integrated group is not equal to the combined effects of the other groups.
