Object: In order to comprehensively and thoroughly organize and collect the drug law of Professor Hu Zhiqiang treating migraine by modern scientific Ideas and methods, so as to sum up the special treatment experience of Professor Hu Zhiqiang treating migraine.Methods: The research used to collect the clinical prescription of Professor Hu Zhiqiang treating migraine and thoroughly analyze the relevant Traditional Chinese medicine . from the perspective of drug use.Database was established with SPSS software. Frequency analysis was appllied to find the commonly used medicines and medicine category, clustering analyses was appllied to find the prescription their components with close interrelationship. Both data mining methods were been used to explore the regulations of Chinese herbs usage.Results: 102 prescriptions were collected for migraine treatment according to the inclusion criteria and the exclusion criteria, there are total 99 kinds of medicine involved. There are 34 kinds medicine that common used, accounting for 80 percent of the all used medicines, their frequency was above 0.8 percent. The most frequently used drug was relieving drugs, their frequency was above 28 percent. The use of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis drugs,heat-clearing drugs,supplementing drug, as well as reducing liver to quench wind drugs are also very important, only second to the relieving drugs.Conclusion: expelling wind to relieve exterior,promoting blood circulation and clearing heat, as well as supplementing qi and blood are the most common therapeutic principle used in treatment of migraine for Professor Hu Zhiqiang,and be used throughout the therapeutic course. Reducing liver to quench wind and excreting water to expel dampnes are common associated therapeutic principles. By data mining methods including frequency analysis and cluster principal component analysis, we can extracted the herbal administration regularity from the widely prescription, that is concealed in it, to provide guidance for the clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment.
