Background Health for individuals and society is very important, and a healthy lifestyle to prevent and control chronic non-communicable diseases is important. With economic development, the social, psychological and physical problems that the excessive drinking of alcohol due to affect seriously human health [1,2] With the influence of traditional customs and culture, in our country, drinking is a common phenomenon. According to the National Nutrition and Health Survey in 2002, the drinking rate of over 15 years old male was 39.6%,4.5% for female. Urban drinking rate was 20.9% and rural was 21.1%.The latter was slightly higher than the former[3]. With the social and economic development, changes in consumer attitudes, there is growing concern about the relationship between alcohol consumption and health. "Limit drinking, drinking science, maintenance of health" is the virtue of promoting drinking, but in the drinking group, excessive drinking is more common[4]. Just drinking and related issues for the well-off standard of living of the Chinese people in recent years has been more attention, especially accounting for the vast majority of rural residents of China's population, with the rapid growth of income, their consumption levels is shown to improve the situation, the proportion of alcohol consumption increases, while the various aspects of the resulting follow.Objectives This subject aims to rural residents in Dongying City, assess the situation of alcohol dependence and its influencing factors in the investigation and analysis to understand the demographic characteristics, family life, drinking frequency, drunkenness, alcohol and tobacco combined cost and other factors on the impact of alcohol dependence. Attempt to relevant health education and psycho-educational intervention in rural residents drink, health promotion, and further limit alcohol drinking to local conditions provide a reference for action.Materials and Methods The subject of the original data is from the "state of health of rural residents in Dongying City Study" (Dongying City, Shandong University of Health Cooperation with the research project) survey data. Multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method sampling, the use of fixed-style questionnaire, rating scale based on the results of alcohol dependence, alcohol dependence on the residents of the situation, draw its prevalence, influencing factors and distribution.Main Results1. Rural residents in Dongying City, the prevalence rate of alcohol dependence overallThe overall sample, men and women the prevalence of alcohol dependence was 6.76%,13.48% and 0.26%. The prevalence of alcohol dependence in alcohol dependence assessment population was 52.17%.11.8% of rural residents'drinking frequency is in the " 5 or more times per week ",1.2% in the " 3-4 times a week "2. The factors for alcohol dependence prevalence among rural residents in Dongying city.Alcohol dependent patients mainly are middle-aged men in rural residents. In addition, marital status, education level, occupation, whether the work outside the home, drinking frequency, drinking alcohol and tobacco combination are the risk factors.3. The logistic regression analysis of factors for rural prevalence of alcohol dependenceThe prevalence of alcohol dependence were significant factors affecting the statistical significance of logistic regression analysis. Factors into the regression equation are gender, educational level, occupation, drinking frequency, drinking, tobacco combined with 6 factors.Conclusions and recommendations1.Prevalence of alcohol dependence of Rural residents in Dongying City is higher than elsewheres and Alcohol dependence problem is a serious problem. Rural prevalence rate of alcohol dependence is related with sex, age, marital status, education level, occupation, whether the work outside the home, drinking frequency, drinking and tobacco. It is not related with quality of sleep, their health status, family living conditions, the average monthly cost of alcohol.2.Through a single factor analysis and multivariate analysis for alcohol dependent information, gender, education level, drunkenness, drinking frequency, occupation, tobacco are the risk factors of alcohol dependence. As China economy continues to grow, the expansion of drinking crowd, further increase in the number of alcohol consumption, a variety of chronic mental disorders due to alcohol poisoning has become a problem that can not be ignored. It seriously affects the health of drinkers. To avoid repeating the Western developed countries in their industrialization and urbanization process of wine-related issues into the quagmire of mistakes, our emphasis should be early occurrence of alcohol-related problems. Actively in the referendum in health education, and guide people to a small amount of alcohol consumption, drinking low-alcohol wine.
