| Objective:To investigate the effect of Soothing the nerves and stopping the Hyperactivity acupuncture method on de la Tourette syndrome.Methods; Sixty de la Tourette syndrome patients diagnosed both by Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into two groups. The standards for the division is the time sequence of seeing doctor, and each group has Thirty cases. One group was treated by the Soothing the nerves and stopping the Hyperactivity acupuncture method(named treatment group), and the other group was treated by Traditional acupuncture method(named control group). The effect was evaluated in terms of YGTSS and clinical effects. The improvement of motor tics vocal tics and illness degree were contrasted between the two groups by clinical observations.Results:Clinical observation shows that before and after the treatment motor tics YGTSS score, the vocal tics YGTSS score and the Total score have statistical significant difference(p<0.05) between the two groups. The score for the treatment group is superior to the control group. The total cure rates of treatment group and control group are 96.6% and 83.3% respectively. The total cure rates of the two groups have statistical significant difference for before and after the treatment(p<0.05). The illness degree before and after the treatment also have statistical significant difference for the two groups(p<0.05), and the treatment group is better than the control group. Of course the total cure rates have statistical significant difference(p<0.05) between the treatment group ant the control group, and the former is better than the later.Conclusion:De la Tourette syndrome treated by Soothing the nerves and stopping the Hyperactivity acupuncture method can reduce the YGTSS score Significantly. It can improve the symptom of motor tics and vocal tics, ameliorate the illness degree of TS patients. Its curative effect is better than the traditional acupuncture method. |
