The Clinical Research Of Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule Treating The Tourette's Syndrome

Objective Using the YGTSS to evaluate the effect of Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule treating the Tourette's Syndrome on number of times, frequency, strength, complexity and confusing of the child tic. To observe the curative effect of Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule on Tourette's Syndrome. To approach the etiological factor and pathogenesis on traditional Chinese medicine of Tourette's Syndrome. The result of this study will supply the clinical evidence of the treatment on Tourette' s Syndrome with Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule.Methods A randomized controlled trial without double-mind was adopted in the clinical study. 60 patients conforming to the study-standards were divided randomly into a treatment group with and a control group. 30 cases of control group were treated with Haloperidol. While 30 cases of treatment group were treated with Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule. The period of this study was 8 weeks. Number of times, frequency, strength, complexity and confusing of the tic in two groups were recorded at the begin and the end of the treatment. Side effects of two groups were recorded too. To evaluate the change of treatment with YGTSS, and analyze with statistics methods.Results Among 30 cases of treatment group, 17 cases were improved significant(56. 67%), and 8 cases were effective (26.67%) . The total effective ratio was 83.33%. While in the control group were 12 cases (40.00%) , 11 cases (36.67%) and 76.67% respectively. There was a significant difference between the begin and the end of the treatment (P<0. 05) . While the curative effect was similar between two groups (P In the treatment group, 2 cases feel nauseated. In the control group, 2 cases had extrapyramidal symptoms, and 5 cases feel dizzy and weary. These cases that had adverse effect could finish the study after corresponding treatment. The result of the study indicate that Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule and Haloperidol both had significant effect on Tourette's Syndrome. That was to say, Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule had the same treating effect as Haloperidol, while adverse effect was less and gently on the former.Conclusions has firmly treating effect on Tourette's Syndrome, and similarly curative effect contrast to Haloperidol. It has no obvious adverse effect. So it is worth to apply extensively. According to the excellent effect of Xiaoer Anshen Bunao Granule, we can know that the pathogenesis on TCM of Tourette's Syndrome is liver wind stirring, phlegm blocking the orifices and disquieted heart spirit.
