The Observation of Clinical Curative Effect of "Tongduwenyang" Acupuncture to Treat Cervical spondylotic Radiculopathy. Objective:To observe curative effect of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy patients'cardinal symptom through the treatment of "Tongduwenyang", and to explore its theory and mechanism of action. Methods:By using the method of contrasting the treatment group and control group, sixty cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy patients are divided into two groups; One group treated with "Tongduwenyang" acupuncture is treatment group, the other group treated with common acupuncture is control group, ten times treatment as a course. TCM Diagnostic Criteria:Follow The Standard of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Curative Effect published by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to observe and evaluate the symptom, signs, amelioration of function and pain before and after treatment as comprehensive index, and judge its clinical curative effect by comparing and statistical analysis. Results:The statistical data suggests that both treatments have the curative effect on the cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy, but every index shows that the curative effect of treatment group is better than that of control group. And all the index are registered with full marks for 20 points rating scales:treatment group before treatment,9.60±4.12, after treatment 16.43±2.13; control group before treatment 12.00±3.18, after treatment 15.67±2.99. P<0.05, the two groups have significant differences. Visual analog scale (VAS) were as follows:treatment group before treatment,7.80±1.54, after treatment,2.83±1.51, control group before treatment 7.53±2.10, after treatment,4.13±2.16, P<0.05, by contrast, the two groups have significant differences.20 subscales markedly effective rate in treatment group:43.33%while in the control group:13.33%, P<0.05; visual scale markedly effective rate in treatment group:43.33%, control group:16.67%, P<0.05, treatment group and control group's differences have significant meaning in statistics. Conclusion:These results suggest that the curative effect of "Tongduwenyang" acupuncture is better than that of common acupuncture, which is also beneficial to improve the life quality. It can be deeply researched and extended as a clinical treatment.
