| Purpose:The aim of this present study is to investigate the impacts of Jiaweisiwutang on the treatment of essential hypertension (EH) within the type of yinxuyangkang with high level of serum IL-6 and CRP.Methods:The 60 EH Patients(yinxuyangkang) were choosed and divided into treatment group(30cases) and control group(30cases) at random. There was no obvious difference in age,sex,illness course and severity degree between the two groups. The control group were treated by west medicine, while patients in the treatment group were treated by Jiaweisiwutang everytime twice everyday on the basis of west medicine. Review the blood pressure and clinical symptoms and serum CRP and IL-6 after drugs stopped.Results:The total effective rate of depressurization curative effect in the treating group is 86.67%, and 60.00% in the control group.The total effective rate of TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)syndrome is in the treating group is 86.67%, and 50.00% in the control group. Both the treating group and the control group can improve patients'clinica symptom effectively,and the treating group had better effect than the control group (P<0.05).The decrease of the level of serum IL-6 after the treatment was significantly higher in the treating group than in the control group (2.71±1.68 versus 1.80±1.28, P<0.05). The decrease of the level of serum hs-CRP decreased after the treatment was notably higher in the Shuguanfang group than in the control group (1.36±1.23 versus 0.79±0.89, P<0.05). Inside effects, one patient had headache,another one had nausea.but they all could persisted to the end,no other obvious and serious side effects were found.Conclusion:The Jiaweisiwutang is not only effective in reducing the primary patients' blood pressure but also improves the clinical symptom and reduces serum C-reactive protein and interleukin-6. These efficacies may be mediated partially by the significant reduction of the level of serum interleukin-6 and hs-CRP. |
