Objective:hypertension belongs to the category of Traditional Chinese medicine such as"vertigo", "headache," "stroke", HuangDi proposed "all the wind, trembling and dizziness, pertain to the liver", indicating TCM pathogenesis of liver plays a very important position in this disease. This paper discusses the liver disease pathogenesis, and puts forward the main role of clinical treatment.Methods:references discussed in the mechanism of action of liver disease, and sums up the main treatment of hypertension treatment method from liver, used to guide clinical treatment.Results:concludes common treatments for:1. soothing liver-qi stagnation (shuganjieyu) xiaoyaosan to add and subtract; 2. clearing liver spilled hot (qingganxiere) DecoctionofGentiantoPurgetheLiver and tonic hook cany soup(longdanxiegan and lingjiaogouteng); 3. calming the liver wind to suppress the sthenic yang (pingganqianyang) Decoction of Gastrodia and Uncaria (tianmagouteng) to add and subtract; 4. softing liver (yangyinrougan):expelling decoction(dadingfengzhu) or zishuiqinggan Decoction to add and subtract; 5. nourishing Yin of liver and kidney(zishuihanmu):rehmannia Decoction (qijudihuangtang) to add and subtract; 6.nourishing Yang of liver and kidney (wenbuganshen) Yanourish Remedy and Frigid Exremities Decoction(dangguisinitang).Conclusion:liver storing blood, pertains to Yin and dominates Yang, governing conveyance and dispersion,goerning ascent and dispersion,desiring for freely growing activity, evil depression; Close relations with the pathogenesis of hypertension.
