The lumbar disc herniation is the most common disease clinically, is one of the common causes of low back pain. L4-5, L5-S1 the highest incidence, accounting for 90-96%. Clinical treatment principle is to make the disc part of the nerve root irritation and inflammation to accelerate edema subsided, so as to reduce or lift the nerve root irritation or oppression. Traditional surgical treatment of trauma, long recovery time after surgery, patients who may be complicated by adhesions, scar, and spinal instability. In recent years, minimally invasive interventional treatment of such diseases has become one of the hot. Decompressor and ozone injection are the scope of intervention, surgical procedures to image-mediated, percutaneous, minimally invasive is characterized by relatively few complications, rapid postoperative recovery. However, monotherapy still some shortcomings, the total efficiency are affected. Because different mechanism of action of various minimally invasive techniques, resulting in physical or chemical effects are also different, the joint use between them may be complementary. Therefore, the combination of two minimally invasive technique is particularly important for further research. As the technology Dekompressor conduct relatively late in China, being the lack of joint applied research. Objective: This study aims to blend with simple ozone injections contrast, to investigate the clinical effectiveness and complications of treating lumbar disc herniation with decompressor combined ozone injection .Methods: Since June 2009 to June 2010, 96 contained LDH patients were randomly divided into two groups: decompressor combined ozone group and ozone group. Under the guidance of CT,forty-eight patients in group A were treated by disc decompression with Dekompressor? through poster olateral approach, then ozone was injected into the lumbar disc or outside the lumbar disc, and the other forty-eight patients in group B were injected with medical ozone into the disc and paravertebral space. The clinical effectiveness was evaluated by comparing VAS,the scores of taking painkillers and effective rate of therapy before and after treatment. Results:Patients were enrolled in this study 96 patients, 54 male and 42 female, were randomly divided into two groups. Two groups of patients general information such as age, gender, disease duration was not statistically significant (P> 0.05).1.Perioperative conditions 96 patients, intraoperative life signs were stable. All patients were punctured and operated successfully.2.The VAS and the score of taking painkillers of two groups between pre- and post-treatment were significantly different ( P < 0 . 05) . 96 cases were followed - up after 3 months . The marked effective rate was 81.25 % in group A, 60.41% in group B. The total effective rate was 91.67% in group A, 77.08% in group B. The marked effective rate and the total effective rate were higher in group A than that in group B(P<0.05) .3.complication Two groups of patients after treatment for 1h ~ 72 h clinical observation, most patients with mild lumbar acid pain complaints, be symptomatic treatment, 1 to 3 days after symptoms improved. No postoperative intervertebral disc infection, vascular injury, nerve damage and hematoma and other complications occurred.Conclusion:1.Decompressor combined ozone injection is an effective method for treatment of the lumbar disc herniation. 2. No postoperative intervertebral disc infection, vascular injury, nerve damage and hematoma and other complications occurred.
