To explore the effect of Chinese medicine experience prescription Weichangning on the digestive function and biological oxidation of the rats of spleen deficiency. Two kinds of rat models of spleen deficiency syndrome were induced in rats by injection of reserpine and administration of Xiaochengqi decoction respectively. Determined the activity of butanedioic acid dehydrogenase (SDH), amylase (AMS), D-xylose and the concentration of vascular active bowel peptide (VIP), substance p (SP), interleukin - 1 ? (IL-1?), interleukin - 10 (IL-10) in serum of experimental rats by the Xiaochengqi decoction to research the effect of Weichangning on the digestive function of the rats of spleen deficiency. Determined the concentration of superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), nitric oxide synthase (NOS), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), cholinesterase (AchE) and creatine kinase (CK) in serum of experimental rats by the injection of reserpine to research the biological oxidation of Weichangning decoction. Studed the histological changes in diarrhoea mast cells of rats by Xiaochengqi decoction, and the function of Weichangning on histological changes in liver and gastrointestinal duodenum of rats by injection of reserpine. Result:1.Compared with the control group, the level of AchE, CK and LDH, SOD, GSH - Px, NOS content was obviously reduced(p<0.01, p<0.005, p<0.005, p<0.05,p<0.05,0.05), and AKP, MDA content was increased in rats models of spleen deficiency(p<0.05); Compared with model group, the level of LDH,AchE,CK,SOD,GSH-Px,NOS was obviously increased in rats by Weichangning decoction(p<0.05); In model rats, Liver happened extensive particles cavitation and empty bubble degeneration. The amounts of duodenal microvilli and goblet cells were decreased, and inflammatory cells were increased under in electro microscope. Compared with model group, the pathological changes of liver and duodenum were significantly decreased.2.Compared with control group, the level of SDH,amylase,D-xylose,IL-10,VIP were significant reduced(p<0.05), and IL-1?,SP increased (p<0.05) in model rats of Spleen deficiency; Compared with model group, the level of SDH, amylase, D-xylose , VIP was significantly increased and SP decreased (p<0.05) in weichangning group; In model rats, liver degeneration of granules and vacuolated, and epithelial tissue and villi, infiltration of inflammatory cells, numerous goblet cells was more than the model group. The pathological change of liver and duodenum in Weichangning groups was obviously slighter than model group.Conclusion:1.When rats of spleen deficiency were induced by injection of reserpine, the concentration of MDA in liver of model rats was increased, and SOD,GSH-Px,NOS were significantly reduced. the concentration of SOD,GSH-P and NOS were increased, MDA was reduced in rats of Weichangning. Compared with model group, the pathological changes of the liver and duodenum in rats of Weichangning group were significantly decreased. Weichangning decoction to the metabolic disorder of free radicals and visceral injury had good curative effect.2.When rats of spleen deficiency were induced by Xiaochengqi decoction, the activity of SDH and AMS and the concentration of D-xylose in rats serum was significantly rised,and. The concentration of SP in ileum segments was significantly decreased, the VIP was increased. The duodenal, colon organization did not appear obvious pathological changes in Weichongning group. This expariments suggested that Weichangning to disorder of bowel function in rats of spleen deficiency had some certain curative effect.
