Requirement Analysis And Preliminary Application Of The Information System For Sanmen Nuclear Engineering Project

The nuclear project requires huge investment and has a long period of construction,so all project managers has been trying to shorten the project duration, lower the investment ,improve the quality, and accumulate various essential data for the coming plant operation and maintain, by utilizing information management systems to regulate the production of information , optimize the organization of information , speed the transmission of information, and conduct scientific analysis and research, this whole thing of which is becoming more and more a compulsory issue to be carefully considered. To some certain extent, the information system for the engineering project management is a microcosm of engineering project management pattern. To fulfill the independent and home-made development of nuclear construction, the information system for practical nuclear engineering project management has to be made self-directed.From a relative high point of view, by comparing and analysis of the content of multiple established information systems of domestic nuclear projects and hydraulic projects and thermal power projects, and considering the practical situation, this paper brings out the core requirements of the information system for Sanmen nuclear engineering project management: fund management, schedule management, material management and information management.This paper points out that the information system for engineering project management should be primarily comprised of project schedule management, material and procurement management, budget and contract management, finance management, document management, office automation and etc. Choosing a commercial available integrated platform and customizing on project demands while considering the smooth transition to the phases of commissioning and operation,is the only road to the informationization of nuclear engineering project management.This paper comes out with the general planning of the information systems for the Sanmen nuclear 1st-phase project management, and concludes the core business process of Sanmen nuclear engineering project management. Under this specific direction, certain achievements have been made in the construction of the information systems for the Sanmen nuclear 1st-phase project management.From a certain aspect of view, the research made to this paper displays that Chinese people are actually and completely capable of building advanced information systems for project management independently, introduction of foreign technologies and systems at a very high price is not the only option. Subsequent projects can take this paper for reference and further refine it, it's the author's hope that a standardized information system with Chinese characteristics be developed.
