On that behavior the home soft decoration can illustrate a life style that a person is in a poetic living.There are different kinds of home styles in every historical period. As traditional decorative elements have special cultural fascination, we keep exploring the essence of traditional decorative elements for planting them in the design which can create a tasteful and beautiful living environment. For the reasons above, presenting the characters of traditional culture and making them great value plays an important role on the development of contemporary soft decoration design.This paper is started from the perspectives of development and heritage, and then gives an outline individually of home soft decoration and traditional decorative elements. Today people increase their attention from the combination of environmental concern and aesthetic elements to humanistic elements. The analysis of Chinese traditional decoration's application form should lie on the point of elements themselves. Basing on the ways of application and arrangement of traditional decorative elements, it is summarized the references from the cultural connotation for the traditional decorative elements in design. The analysis of traditional decorative elements in this paper is trying to pull out the characters which are represented Chinese spiritual features and style.
