Preliminary Study Onjapanese Traditional Gardens Preservationand Exploitation Strategy

Chinese and Japanese landscape both fall into oriental landscape, the original design technique of Japanese traditional gardens is the result of absorbing Chinese tang gardens. However, environmental deviation and the demand of Self-actualization caused culture separation and bring out Japanese style.Japan is a worldwide noticeable country in the field of traditional culture preservation.The preservation of Japanese traditional gardens presents advanced means and outstanding achievements. Among all the advanced approaches, the core is combines tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage together. Protective range enlarges from individual construction to historic district, even goes to historical atmosphere. Application of intangible cultural heritage bring back original activities and customs, which could stimulates the vitality of traditional gardens. Modern methods is also used to increases interaction between current and past.
