The people of Li are the aboriginal of Hannan Island. From the ancient times, they live their lives and breed their off-springs in the heart of the Wuzhi Mountain, which is very beautiful and rich. Because of the geographical natural condition, the effects of culture brought by the immigrant, unique economic system, the population structure which is linked by the kinship,and with the help of the tropical sunshine, the wind brought by the Coconut and the rain brought by the banana trees, and in the presense of the Monsoon from the south sea, the villages of Li formed they're unique cultural form.According to literature records, the impressions given by the traditional villages of the Li dirty, mess, worse and so on. The villages look like lack of communication, but in fact that they're connected with each other as a whole by the kinship and, it's typical that the members of the same tribute always live in the same place and the house of the tribute headmaster is link with the houses of other member by a passage, sometimes the houses are gathered by several tributes and became a village, there is a strong tendency of the distribution with the same surname.This article leads us to cognize cultural heritage of Li nationality traditional village and shows us 3000 years of Li nationaliti's long-standing and well-established cultural features by researching the history of architecture in Hainan, the trait of the village moving,the change of Li nationaliti's distribution pattern, the change of Li nationaliti's social economy and the cultural features of the Li nationality, In the context of entironment, social environment and built environments formed by Li nationaliti's cultural heritage forms and residence forms in Hainan.The paper analyzes the typical morphological features of Li traditional villages, the spatial composition elements of spatial distribution characteristic and morphology of Li traditional villages——fortifications, simon, road system, stadium, boat house, warehouse group, kraal, pig house, dormitory and so on, and morphological composition and characteristic of traditional residence. Then the paper, based on the field research and investigation, take Chubao village, Yahe country, Maoyang town, Wuzhishan city and Hongshui village, Wangxia country, Li autonomous country lacating in the hinterland of Five fingers mountain for exampple, analyses village morphology and resident form to draw the pictures about village morphology, configuration relationship, resident layout form and then analyses types. Third, the paper, put Li traditional residence on the framework of building cultural circle which it belongs to, and then compare Li and Miao villages which are in the same natural environment from historical change of the longitudinal and morphological characteristic of horizontally. At last, the paper expand the deep discussion for the problems about development status, protection measures and use value, etc.Every nationality have their own interpretation of architectural space, this makes different types, different architectural styles and different village arrangements can appear and grow up in china. They are peculiar production of culture of national collective memory in our country. This article not only based on the analysis of architectural culture form and regional culture features incarnated by the Li nationaliti's boat house, but also probe into how can we retain original ecosystem of the village and increase the quality of living standards and environment.To sum up, what this article tried to resolve is how can we inherit and carry forward the architectural culture of the traditional village with typical geographical features. This is also the real problem which lay before the government branch and related experts, and it became a topic which we must face.
