The Research Of China's Modern Cemetery Landscape Planning System

Influenced by urbanization, aging of population, scarcity of land resources and other socialfactors, modern cemetery has come to an embarrassing situation that the dead struggles for landagainst the living. At the same time, it is advocated world widely to promote low carbon livingand sustainable development while the landscape planning and construction of China's moderncemetery has not been regulated under a systematic management yet which leads to problemssuch as expropriating land, wasting resources and destroying natural areas becoming increasinglysharp. In this kind of background, it's urgent to reform the planning and construction of cemetery.With an eye on environmental sustainability, applying theories of context,ecological garden,landscape planning, and environmental behavior science, this paper talks about the constructionof landscape planning system for China's modern cemetery. This paper will define anddistinguish the concept of modern cemetery, systematic analyze and conclude the development ofcemetery at home and abroad over time, analyze the interaction between modern cemetery, urbancity and urban green space system, and summarize the characteristics of Chinese Burial System.It will use network questionnaire, field research, document reading, empirical method and otherresearch methods and try to point out problems in modern cemetery construction in currentsituation and the direction for the development of future cemetery construction. Aimed to pointout a scientific and rational modern cemetery landscape planning system, this paper will carry outresearch step by step by Macro, medium and micro scale study on regional, master, and detailedlevel. At the same time, trying to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the futureplanning and construction of cemetery, it will take Shanghai Fushouyuan cemetery as an exampleto demonstrate landscape planning system comprehensively.
