With C~4ISR systems becoming more and more important in the integrated joint operation in future, every government is trying their best to build C~4ISR systems. As the keypoint in top-level design and blueprint of system construction, Architecture plays a key role during the system design and building. In this way, the design quality of C~4ISR architecture projects is so important that the assessment of architecture projects become a hot and difficult problem to study.As an abstraction of C~4ISR system, Architecture mainly concerns about the exchange of information between various systems, which meets the requirement of information during the operations process. In this thesis, we investigate the assessment of architecture project from the perspective of information flow. Especially, methods of assessment on completenes, complexity and adaptability of information flow were studied. The main contributions of the thesis are listed as follows:(1) Established.the indexes of C~4ISR architecture information flow assessmentAfter analysing the purposes of C~4ISR architecture assessment, and according to the conception and definition of C~4ISR architecture information flow, we build the indexes of C~4ISR architecture information flow assessment.(2) Studied the methods of completenes assessment of information flowBased on the definition of completeness, we have a research on the performance of information flow incompleteness and the factors which affect it. After that, the methods of completeness assessment is studied in a formal description way. And the import data of the methods is architecture design products.(3) Investigate the methods of complexity assessment of information flowTo begin with the conception of complexity, we studied the performance of information flow complexity, and the factors which affect the complexity of information flow. In this thesis, we divide complexity into static complexity and dynamic complexity, and mainly studied on the assessement of static complexity. The indexes and method of information flow complexity assessment were drawn on complex network theory. After that, the process of complexity assessment information flow is studied, with the architecture design products used as the import data of the methods.(4) Research the methods of adaptability assessment of information flowBased on definition of adaptability, we studied the performance of information flow adaptability and the factors which affect it. In this thesis, we divide adaptability into structure adaptability and variation adaptability, and mainly studied on the assessment of structure adaptability. To assess the structure adaptability, the conception of structure distance was introduced and the method was studied based on structure distance. (5) Designed and developed a tool of C~4ISR architecture information flow assessment.Collaborating with the architecture design tools, the assessment tools of architecture information flow were designed and developed according to the study of this thesis.
