With the rapid development of the construction industry, the role of Tower cranes in building industry becomes more and more important. But the security problem of Tower cranes becomes more and more severe. Although almost all of the Tower cranes are equipped with safety monitoring device, but virtually every year, the collapsed incident of the Tower cranes happened. Thus, it is necessary to improve the performance of the Tower cranes safety monitoring device. The paper will develop a real-time, more safety and stability of surveillance systems based on embedded microcontroller controller and embedded operating system.The Tower cranes safety monitoring system mainly be consisted of the sensor signal acquisition circuit and control circuit. The core of the system are samsungS3C2440 processor and Windows CE6.0 operating system, mainly to achieve the real-time data acquisition of information Tower cranes parameters, monitoring and display, to storage the Tower cranes warning data and sent these data to management terminal through wireless module.This subject is consisted of the hardware development and software development. The development of software divided into system customization, driving program development and application development. This thesis mainly focuses on the hardware design and the underlying system driver development.The main task has been completed of this paper as follows:(1) The overall scheme of the system is formulated, according to the development of the Tower cranes safety monitoring system present situation and development trend,(2) Hardware selection and system design are completed on basis of the system development scheme and installing the completion of working conditions on site.(3) Writing system underlying part module driver, mainly including AD acquisition circuit, control circuit and serial driver.(4) To joint debugging hardware and software of the whole Tower cranes safety monitoring system.
