The high speed growth of automotive industry in China provides broader space for the most prospective emerging industry of automotive electronics. An automobile is a very complicated product. How to ensure the quality of every electronics part poses a very high requirement for automotive electronics industry.By using quality tool of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), this thesis studied the establishing of ECU assembly production line in TRW. First, with the problem statement, the concept of quality planning was introduced, the managing concept of quality planning preventing system and the multi-disciplinary managing mode were explained. Then, the intrinsic connections among the 5 quality tools were discussed. Moreover, the complementary characters of each tool in manufacturing quality assurance and the advantages of each tool at different stages of process development were analyzed. This thesis focused on the case of ECU assembly line, discussed the issues and actions during 5 activity phases and investigated how 5 quality tools can ensure the planning and completion of ECU assembly line. Finally, the issues in actual implementation, the necessity, importance and feasibility of APQP for quality assurance were summarized.This research indicated that advanced planning conveys the concepts of controlling from the beginning and systematic design while 5 quality tools are effective in production line quality assurance. These 2 methods can complement each other. Combining these 2 methods together can effectively ensure the productivity of ECU assembly line. The results of analysis and study of APQP implementation in this thesis not only can ensure the process capability of TRW's ECU assembly line but also can provide some insights for increasing the competitive power of China's automotive electronics industry.. |
