With the social development and the expansion of the concept"engineering", the requirements of contemporary engineers transit from the technical ability to comprehensive ability of high level, which means the engineers should have all-round development of knowledge, skills and professional awareness namely the contemporary engineers are ought to be entrepreneurial engineering talents.This paper takes the major of optoelectronics of science and engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology for example, by analysis of the actuality of the demand for entrepreneurial engineering talents and cultivation of qualified engineering gifts of the college of optoelectronics of science and engineering, points out that it is essential to train entrepreneurial engineering talents. The universities take on heavy responsibilities of training qualified people and the curriculum is of great importance in education and teaching. The paper takes the curriculum as the breakthrough point to provide a reference for the construction of the training pattern of engineering talents.In the view of the entrepreneurial engineering talents majoring in optoelectronics of science and engineering, this paper put forward some suggestions and proposals for the curriculum-design from four aspects: curriculum objective, curriculum content, curriculum organization and function and curriculum evaluation. Based on three objectives of qualified engineering gifts of the college of optoelectronics of science and engineering, the curriculum objective has been put forward, which is the students have access to integrated learning experience. The curriculum eludes knowledge, skills and professional awareness in which each discipline or project are related and indispensable in which there are two courses: theory course and practical courses.Compared with the theory course and practical courses, the project based learning is the perfect combination of the two, which runs through the entire process of students learning. In the view of this point, the paper puts emphasis on curriculum organization and function and curriculum evaluation.The paper introduces the integrated project based learning pattern—CDIO(C-DREAM. C- conceive. D- design, R- resources ,EA- evaluation and assessment, M- modification), which provides a clear path for project learning for consolidating the knowledge and foster the comprehensive ability and professional awareness.EA- evaluation and assessment of project based learning is in order to know that to how much integrated learning experience the students obtain. The most important purpose of EA is to provide sustainable impetus for teaching innovation. Combining the learning effect and project, at the at the same time, the process of EA- evaluation and assessment and functional pattern of C-DREAM, the paper exhibits the whole process of the comprehensive EA system of project based leanings, and explores the training system of qualified engineering gifts of the college of optoelectronics of science and engineering further.
