International organization and social are developing the research on the core competencies of students’ development to response the problem what knowledge,ability and mental quality the students should have to satisfy their self-development and social development’s requirement along the globalization,informatization and knowledge society’s coming in twenty-first century.According to the core competencies of students’ development on the basis of the determination of the upper framework,how to make the core competencies of different stages of students’ development concretion and how to impose it on every student is still a great challenge that education field should face with.The engineering education as a part of higher education should face an inescapable theme of the times which should to concrete the knowledge,ability and mental quality specific content and to implement it on Undergraduate level engineering talents’ core competencies.This paper based on the human’s comprehensive development of Marxism and humanism theory.Firstly,it defines three concepts in this paper such as students’ development core competencies,engineering talents and engineering talents’ core competencies.Secondly,it compares the difference of students’ development core competencies among domestic,OECD,UNESCO,EU and United States.And then find the common characters from theirs’ contrast.So we can compare those common characters with British engineering professional standards,American’s core competencies of 2020 year’s engineers,the “ FEANI formula” of EU,education and training program for excellent engineers in graduation level general standard of China to explore the frame of the domestic Undergraduate level engineering talents core competencies.Thirdly,we can investigate the condition of our country’s Undergraduate level engineering talents core competencies through questionnaire method and analyze the reason of the condition.Lastly,we propose the promotion advice to improve our country’s curriculum system’s reform,teachers’ team construction,students’ learning investment,education estimate’s reform and the perfection of the cooperation between school and enterprise.
