The construction industry has to develop sustainably, to achieve the core target of balance and harmony among human beings,society and nature. Sustainable building, which conforms to the "3R" principle of reducing, reusing and recycling, includes three terminals of input, circulation and output. For this purpose,the leaping-gallery building is advocated innovatively in this paper. And its sustainability is analyzed in three aspects of the architecture, structure and construction. Here, input means reducing construction cost by collaborative design and industrialization construction; circulation means reducing cost and reusing resource by prefabricated components and new materials; output means increasing value and prolonging life by adaptable design. In this paper, abundant drawings and tables can be used in actual project. Meanwhile, ideas of collaborative and adaptable design can also be referenced to other buildings.Firstly, the leaping-gallery unit is preliminarily established by collaborative design, in consideration of the rules and regulations, building function and actual situation. Next, six architecture floor plans are designed as examples, for the following research.Secondly, on the basis of above plans, standardization and adaptability together with comfort and economy of the leaping-gallery building are described in detail. Then building plots of various plans and layouts are compared with referential one. Besides, energy-saving effects of different partitions and veranda are calculated and compared with referential one by PBECA. Results clearly demonstrate these superiorities of the leaping-gallery building.Thirdly, four representative architecture floor plans are selected for structure calculation and analysis by SATWE. Then another calculation of different partitions is carried out to show superiorities of prefabricated components. Besides, the data of displacement calculated by PMSAP and stress-strain results analyzed by ABAQUS, prove that influence of holes in floors generated by indoor stairs is small to entire structure. What's more, different characteristics between the leaping-gallery structure and referential one are summarized by contrast calculation.Finally, some related concepts, application and economic analysis of housing industrialization are summed up. And several suggestions are proposed for advantages and disadvantages of housing industrialization in leaping-gallery building. At last, construction plans and technique points of prefabricated components are discussed.
