The Research On Funiture Design In The Theme Park

With the rapid development of economy in the 21st century, the theme park, as a new tourist destination, attracts more and more visitors with its unique cultural connotation, rich content of science and technology and powerful recreation functions. The furniture design becomes a part of the theme park environment design which should not be neglected. The furniture design not only represents the theme park's characteristics, but also be a facility for people to use.The essay applies the method of the literature collection method, investigation analysis, comparison and synthesis methods. Firstly, through on-the-spot investigation for some famous theme park in China, it concludes to show the thematic characters from the aspects of elements, materials, color and pictures in the theme park furniture design; summarizes current questions of theme park furniture such as indistinctive theme, inconsideration for human, disharmony with environment and so on; dicusses the causes for these questions. Secondly, it makes the national theme park furniture a subject, advises the furniture design should carry on from the aspects of human interaction, visible element, invisible element and design with space. Thirdly, it proposes that the national furniture design principle which to show the national culture from shape, connotation and vigour; suggests holding the relationship between personality and generality, overall and part, abstracts the national elements from the ways of digging, carding, deducing and reconstructing. Finally, through the investigation of Puyi nationality in Shenzhen China folk culture village, it analyzes the status quo of furniture design in folk culture village, collects the tourists'advice. The practice for design of stool, dustbin, sign and lamp supports the idea from the thesis.
