Therefore, the application of crisis management has been an imminent task in the coal industry. In this sense, it is highly necessary to enhance the understanding of the crisis, to comprehend its characteristics and root causes, and to learn from advanced western crisis management concepts and experience. On this basis, it is very important and urgent to deepen the crisis management research, to explore its management rules, to improve Government crisis management capabilities, and to promote the healthy and orderly development of the coal industry to prevent the recurrence of major mine accidents. So it has the direct bearing on the sustained and steady development in economy and the establishment of a harmonious and stable society.At present, China's coal industry are on the rise of economic efficiency, how to avoid the occurrence of the coal industry is one of the most important assignment for the government and coal industry, that is mining accidents crisis management in coal industry. In this paper, facing the current situation of frequent accidents in coal production, using the theory of crisis management, the author analyses the problems in the crisis management in Shanxi's coal industry and presents a sound and complete thought and countermeasures on crisis management in coal industry from two aspects of the government and the coal industry. First of all, the government should improve the function through the legal system, channels of communication, emergency command system, comprehensive coordination mechanisms and decision-making system. Secondly, from the coal industry put forward views and ideas on the safety management system, technical and site management, liability assessment system and the quality of employees and the construction of non-governmental organizations. The theory of crisis management to the field of coal production in order to coal industry can raise the level of crisis management to propose effective recommendations to make a modest contribution to the development of transition in Shanxi Province.In summary, the study of crisis management in the coal industry is necessary.
