This article is based on the electric power enterprise staff's motivation mechanism. First, studies traditional motivation theory and modern motivation theory, for example, Hierarchy of needs theory, X theory and Y theory, Motivation-hygiene theory, Three needs theory, Goal-Setting Theory, Expectation theory, and so on. According to these understanding to each kind of motivation theory, comments the relations between the traditional motivation theory and the modern motivation theory and the sense to guide practice. Then, describes the present situation of the enterprise spirit motivation mechanism,and analyzes deeply the problem which existed the enterprise staff's motivation mechanism, and finds the crucial problem. According to the analysis results, uses all kinds of methods of modern motivation theory, pointed the corresponding measure and the adjustment strategy in the motivation mechanism, for instance, the authorized motivation, the honor motivation, the enterprise culture motivation, and so on. At the same time, proposed some principles that should be grasped in the motivation process, such as fairness principle, differentiated principle, comprehensive principle and so forth. In order to enhance the level to the enterprise spirit motivation, proposes some solutions, including the guiding ideology, the principle and the method. The goal is to change the thought pattern, toestablish the open spiritual motivation system to adapt enterprise characteristic, the time characteristic and the staff's demands.
