Enterprise Multi-project Resource Optimization Allocation Method

When tasks have the characteristics of projects, more and more enterprises are facing the challenge of multi-project management, which has been the focus among researches on project management. In multi-project circumstance, the share and competition on resources such as capital, facility and human resource often occur. The question of resource allocation in multi-project is related to the success of enterprises. Therefore, the optimization of resource allocation in multi-project is the core question which enterprises have to face and solve.This paper studies the resources allocation in multi-project based on the analysis of relevant articles from home and abroad. This paper focuses on organization structure and resource optimization allocation based on the quantity of resource allocation on an activity as decision variable. The main work and conclusion include as follows:(1) Aiming at the request of resources allocation in multi-project on organization structure, by adjusting the tradition function department to the resource department, defining the responsibility of project department and the resource department and setting up the project management committee as the highest decision-making department, this paper establish the improved matrix organization structure, also, based on the improved matrix organization structure, establish the rank model of resources allocation in multi-project.(2) Aiming at the problem of multi-resource constrained multi-project resource allocation, this paper assumes that the activity's work content is fixed value, activity's duration and quantity of resource allocation are variable, the relationship between activity's duration and quantity of resource allocation are inverse proportion when resource allocation to the activity within a specified interval. Based on the quantity of resource allocation on each activity as decision variable, this paper achieves the optimization of multi-project schedule by optimizing the quantity of resource allocation on each activity.
