As the concept of quality management developes, the key to define quality changes from interior of the corporation to exterior, focusing on subscribers of the corporation. This turns the customer requirements the headwaters of quality management activities. This paper focuses on the customer requirements which is the source of quality management activities. In order to define research area , we redefine quality requirements and quanlity requirement management, making out and managing the process of gaining and analyzing data, discussing how to get the information of customer requirements and methods of analysis, and to actualize the requirements.This paper bases on a customer oriented quality assurance methodology , Quality Function Deployment, bringing forward a method of quality requirement management. This method includes two parts, one is the acquisition of quality requirements, the other is the analysis and mapping of quality requirements.In the aspect of quality requirements acquisition, this paper discusses the effect of Kansei Engineering which is widely used for the industrial design to obtain customer' latent requirements and possibility to integrate it into QFD. Then, we use the method of Kansei Engineering to improve QFD, and apply improved QFD to guide in practice of quality requirements acquisition.In the aspect of analysing and mapping quality requirements, based on our quality team' research work supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grant No.70472056., this paper uses the QM3 as a quantitative structuralization method into the consumable industry, analysing the quality requirements quantificationally, makeing the criterion of analysis clear, ensuring the sufficiency of requirements analysis, aquiring the hierarchical structure of quality requirements. Then, based on the hierarchical structure and House of Quality quantitative technology in QFD, we mapping the quality requirements into quality characteristics and quality assurance activities.The effectiveness of the quality requirement management method is verified by an empirical study of the mobile phone product.
