Sea Container Transport Development In The Yangtze River (river) Study

The rapid growth with reform and opening up to the outside world and foreign trade of our country, especially the opportunity that joins WTO in new century, the containerized transport of our country has already kept up with the paces of containerized transport of the world development progressively. It is at our country coastal cities, not nearly so port develop business for less than containerized transport, Some have already become international pivot ports, such as shanghai seaport, as one of the largest ports of the whole country, its goal is to build up the world international container pivot harbor.My domestic rivers and lakes are numerous, and have abundant waterway carrier's conditions. From 1970s, container transportation had been used in several area, and it was 1976 that our country began to test this kind of traffic mode in the Yangtse River. In the past 10 years, the development of the river container transportation has been at a high speed, especially in the Yangtse River. The Yangtse River is the longest one in China with 6300 km, it plays a very important role in river transportation. The container transportation is the first and most important in the freight of the Yangtse River. This is the background of this thesis.First of all, this thesis introduce the current situation of the development of the river container transportation in the world, especially tell the difference between the situation in China and in other two places---Europe and America; secondly, combining the instance of China, this thesis briefly introduces the Yangtse River's status, which includes traffic system of port, water craft, collection- distant, market and information; The central part of the article is using method to predict turnover capacity of the container of the following five years in the Yangtse River. Moreover some strategies and suggestions to the containerized transport of the Yangzi River have been put forward.
