With the development of the global iron and steel industry, both international and domestic circumstances of Baotou Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. are changing. China's entrance to the WTO and the global economy integration will make domestic and international become one part. The conversion of China's iron and steel import and export situation in 2004 will be a new stage for China steel industry to enter into international competition. Baotou Iron and Steel (Group) enjoy plenty of opportunities as well as great challenges. The purpose of the thesis is to do analysis about the export products of Baotou Iron and Steel (Group) and tries to make strategy decision to promote its competitive power.Based on the macro and competitive circumstances, the internal and actual export situation for the time being and using measures of "PEST", common analysis, value chain, "TOWS" matrix, the author finds out the existing steel export problems of Baotou Iron and Steel (Group). Then the author put forward the export development strategy and measure accordingly.The first chapter makes an introduction of the background for the topic selection of this thesis. In the second and third chapter the author makes analysis on the international and domestic market circumstances, the competitive circumstances and internal conditions and in the fourth chapter puts forward the steel export development strategy, competition strategy and marketing tactics. In fifth chapter the author puts forward the concrete measures for steel export development.
