Research On Green Development Strategy Of Shenhua Huanghua Port

In recent years, the environmental pollution in our country is becoming serious with the high-speed development of economy. At the same time, the public awareness of environmental protection is significantly enhanced, and all levels of government pay more attention to environmental protection, putting forward higher requirements to enterprises’ environmental protection. It has been a significant problem to doing a good job in environmental protection for the survival and development of a large-scale enterprise. In recent years, as one of the largest China’s coal port, Shenhua Huanghua port transport more than one hundred million tons coal every year, if the company cannot do a good job of environmental protection at the strategic and operational level, it will have bad influence on the surrounding environment and the company’s reputation, thus ultimately affect the sustainable development of the company.In this background, this dissertation considers the Shenhua Huanghua port as the research object, and research its green development strategy. Firstly, this paper reviews the related theory of green development and strategic management, laying the solid theoretical basis for subsequent research. Secondly, with the strategic analysis tools, such as PEST,Michael Porter’s Five Forces Framework, SWOT analysis, this dissertation thoroughly analyzes the key internal and external influencing factors of the Shenhua Huanghua port’s green development. Thirdly, based on the conclusion of environment analysis, this dissertationputs forth the green development strategy for the Shenhua Huanghua port, and mainly discusses its business strategy from three aspects. Finally, this dissertation also puts forward the corresponding security measures in order to ensure the effective implementation of the strategy.Our study not only helps to provide valuable strategy guidance for Shenhua Huanghua port’s green development, but also provides reference for other coal ports.
