Leisure agriculture is a new type of composite industry which is formed by the combination of tourism and agriculture. With the development of social economy in China and the development of urbanization, the leisure agriculture is becoming more and more popular. Leisure agriculture in China is in a good period of development, while many scholars from different angles to the study of leisure agriculture, leisure agriculture entities around the country have accumulated a lot of valuable experience in the development.Leisure agriculture in Liuyang has been developing rapidly in recent years, which plays a greater role in stimulating consumption, promoting rural economic development, increasing farmers’ income and accelerating the integration of urban and rural areas. If these problems are not properly solved, it will affect the healthy development of the whole industry.Based on this situation, this paper firstly summarizes the concept, background, significance and classification of leisure agriculture, and briefly analyses the current situation of leisure agriculture in China, and lists the main models of the current development. After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the development of leisure agriculture in Liuyang City, the relevant conclusions are drawn based on the data of the sampling survey of leisure agriculture in Liuyang city. And then combined with the specific circumstances of Liuyang City, Liuyang City Haobo farm as an example, a detailed analysis, and combined with the pattern of success summed up the enlightenment. Finally, based on the reality, the paper puts forward the concrete countermeasures and suggestions for the problems in the development of leisure agriculture in Liuyang, in order to grasp the opportunities and challenges faced by the development of leisure agriculture in Liuyang, and to provide reference for the development of rural areas in Liuyang.
