Supply chain management and business process reengineering are two management modes which enterprises seek to enhance their competitiveness from perspectives of external and internal when they facing the ever-changing, customer-oriented and increasingly competitive external market environment. Nowadays, the study of supply chain based business process reengineering has gradually attracted attentions of academia and enterprises. With the deepening of the reform and development, China’s tobacco industry has entered a period of adjustment and important strategic era. On the one hand, tobacco industry is facing pressure and challenges from international and society etc.; On the other hand, with the progress of technology and society, cigarette products gradually move toward homogeneity, the competition among tobacco industry enterprises is not only between cigarette product quality and brand like in the past, Instead, it is more about the competition between supply chains. Now, the tobacco industry and business enterprises are all in the pursuit of overall optimal in cigarette supply chain, to promote the common development of tobacco industry. However, problems and deficiencies had been exposed in supply chain based business process since the establishment of Marketing Center Of China Tobacco X Industrial. Therefore, this article launches a study of supply chain based business chain reengineering of Marketing Center Of China Tobacco X Industrial.First of all, by separately studying supply chain and business process reengineering and analyzing the relationship between the two, this article summarized the principles and methods of understanding and rebuilding supply chain based business process reengineering both domestically and internationally. Secondly, this article established the research ideas of identifying business processes – Diagnosing business process- Implementing business process reengineering- Restructuring organization- Assessing the feasibility. Through sorting the supply chain based business process of Marketing Center Of China Tobacco X Industrial and analyzing and identifying the current business process by performance- importance matrix, this article fund out the processes which shall be significantly improved or reengineering and diagnosed the existing problem. Thirdly, by combining the summarized business process reengineering and principle of customer-oriented and analyzing the Marketing Center business process requirement from other organizations in supply chain, a new process has been carried out which satisfies customer request and improves customer satisfaction. According to the new business process, related supply chain based organization structure and information management system of marketing center are also been rebuilt. Last but not least, from the dimension of time, cost, and resource utilization, feasibility evaluation was carried out for the business process reengineering.The research content of this article solves the practical problem in real case, and also conforms to the trend of supply chain and business process reengineering which was gradually emphasized in the management of current enterprises. It combined the academic theory with practical problem in a good way, which contains important practical significance. The systematic method used in the article from process identification, diagnosis, transformation to feasibility evaluation of new process and tools of performance- importance matrix and flow charts etc. is definitely a creative and scientific research for Marketing Center Of China Tobacco X Industrial, for they usually solve the process reengineering problem through conference, brainstorm and locality improvement when encountered problem. In addition, after diagnosing and analyzing the current status and problem of supply chain based business process in Marketing Center Of China Tobacco X Industrial and comprehensive analysis of the Marketing Center business process requirement from other organizations in supply chain, this article incorporates the above two aspects and raises a business process reengineering method. Thus it will solve the business process in market center supply chain and also satisfy the requirement from other organization in supply chain so as to improve supply chain efficiency and improve satisfaction of customers.
