The Six Sigma quality process management is a method which proposed by Motorola Corporation can improve the product quality and working efficiency management effectively, and also is the most widely used enterprise quality control method at present. The management concept of Six Sigma quality process can be concluded as:Through the designing, supervising each production working procedure and the business process, wins the most customer’s satisfaction with the least investments and loss, consequently enhances the profit of enterprise. The goal of Six Sigma quality process, means that only 3.4 defects in every 1 million products which process including Defining, Measuring, Analyzing, Improving, Controlling.The main content of this article is to study how to increase the first-pass yield of the stator or rotor impregnated in the F Company’s impregnation process of the stator or rotor with the Six Sigma DMAIC model. First, define the scope of the study, identify process related with the subject; second, clarify and measure the critical outputs of process, and set goals; again, use the fishbone diagram to presume the factors causing the process failure, analyze the process base on the flowchart and select the major input factors by tool of C&E matrix; and then, remove or reduce these major factors and run process to verify the assumption; finally, revise the process documents and implement statistical process control to keep the improvement achievement. During the research on the subject, we used a lot of tools and graphics and charts, such as flowcharts, fishbone diagram, cause and effect matrix, process potential failure mode and effects analysis, Minitab software etc.This article successfully improved the impregnation process of the stator or rotor and improved the first-pass yield of the stator or rotor impregnated, reduced the production cost, by using the method of 6SIGMA.
