Quality management,is one of the most important part in Operation management & Project management for manufacturing enterprises.Currently,as the most occupation of manufacturing,middle and small-sized enterprises,the quality level is not good universally.Therefore,it's much meaningful to study their situation,help them to improve quality under the background of increasing fierce competition.This thesis elaborates the development of quality management,current research situation in domestic & abroad and emphasize the six sigma theory first,and then according to a detail practice of applying DMAIC in six sigma theory on a middle and small-sized enterprise E to solve its problem,plus the improvement effect comparison,demonstrates the six sigma plays the positive role in improving quality management level,reducing the operation cost,improving product quality and satisfying customer better.The thesis is composed of 5 chapters,chapter one is introduction,which described the research significance,current research situation in domestic &oversea about quality management,emphasized six sigma theory and difference comparing other quality theory,as well as the content,the way of research,the structure of thesis,etc.The second chapter indicates the current situation in quality management and the problems need to be solved for enterprise E,introduced its journey and feature of products,QMS,the mode of QM and the quality tools used actually.Analyzed its insufficiency and expounded the main problem: lower FPY for finished goods.The third chapter is the root cause analysis,which elaborated the process to find out the root cause by means of the former 3 phases of DMAIC.By applying the series of quality tools,addressed 7 root causes to lower FPY of FG including dimension length,insufficient product protective action,etc.Chapter four is the research about the improvement action against the root cause,address the detail application of the last two phases of DMAIC.Chapter five is about the check for the actions,analysis on the direct and indirect effect,together on the popularization.In the end,summarize the thesis and point out the inadequacy,as well as the imagination for the future.In a word,this article enrich the content and expand the thought based on current quality management theory,provide the instruction in theory for middle and small-sized enterprise on actual operating and practicing.Set an example of demonstration.
