Research On Improvement Of Inner Mongolia Bank Information Technology Project Management Standard Based On

Bank of Inner Mongolia currently has 48 sets of various information systems and technical personnel with a number of total 72, whose jobs include information system development and maintenance, and management of infrastructure, network, information security and other key areas. However, such a ratio of personnel and information system for IT management is far less than the average industrial standard, leading to overly intensive workload and excessive pressure on those staff. Therefore, it is of top priority for Bank of Inner Mongolia to learn from the successful banks and utilize proven industrial standards for regulating overall management of IT projects. This essay places the application of CMMI model in project management as the starting point, and analysis the existing issues among the current IT project management of Bank of Inner Mongolia. By drawing lessons from successful examples of CMMI application, this essay seeks a feasible solution to current issues existing in Bank of Inner Mongolia for future reference through scanning and analyzing the incongruity between current IT project management model of Bank of Inner Mongolia and requirements from CMMI instructions, industrial standards and streamlining.Firstly, this essay introduces the concept, developing history and fundamental structure of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Secondly, it presents several examples of CMMI application of banks from both home and abroad gathered by the author. Thirdly, it shows the current IT project management model and procedures of Bank of Inner Mongolia and brings in the CMMI standardization over the relative fields in order to propose a plan for improvement; also, this essay takes Internet bank as a focusing case and deduces the scheme in the application of project management. This essay is considered as of practical significance to future construction of IT project of Bank of Inner Mongolia.
