A Study On The Economic Life Of The Hui Nationality In Niuzhuang Village Of Fangcheng County, Henan Province

Hui as a live scattered minority, lived together with Han and other minority, because of culture and habits, because of social development, the level of economic and other reasons,in history, the relationship between people of all minorities on the area is not frequent those keeps Hui culture characteristics in a certain extent. Because of the development of social and economic, the movement of population in frequently, the interaction between minorities more closely.The author chose an administrative village called Niu Village in FangCheng County of HeNan province where Hui minority lived together. Hui minority live here for two hundred years,at the same time anatomizing with Han and other minority,and influence by multicultural.The author on the basis of objective facts, by slightly sees in a big way, drawing upon experience gained at key points, sorting an analyzing the field investigation date, and then compare the model of Niu Village economic life in the past and present, explore the change of economic behavior,consumption idea and religious culture, then analysis the cause of these changes.This paper has five parts include the introduction and conclusion. The introduction talk about the reason and meaning of research, the status of domestic about Hui minority economic,the method and target of research. At the second part research about the population, economic, religious of Niu Vilage and the source of Hui minority. At the third part introduce villagers’economic activities. Agriculture is one of the main sources of income for the farmer, and produce food, so to research the problem of agriculture is the first palace in production. In addition, in this section sorting the main source of livelihood of farmers in Niu Village is slaughtered by the traditional industry to transportation and selling cattle and sheep. The fourth part from life consumption, social, religious and culture consumption to research about household consumption. The community and consumption circle of Hui minority become bigger and bigger as the development of economic and the movement of population. Hui minority of Niu Village contact with Han in long term, so it process of consumption close with Han. In the section of the culture and consumption, analysis the scattered Hui minority’s culture from the characteristics of believe, festival,the marriage and funeral custom. In the process of getting along with the Han, Hui minority of Niu Village formation both has Islamic features and local culture characteristics. In economic, not only to retain the traditional economic but also development of diversified economic; in culture,both has Islamic culture and adaptation an adjustment while contact with Han.
