The rise of religious tourism is the inevitable result of the development of urbanization and cultural tourism. Theory of tourism’s religious sanctity, theory of ecology, theory of "Communitas" travel experience, and Stakeholder of religious tourism provides a vast world for the development and study of religious tourism. Because of the special historical and geographical conditions, the south region of Fujian Province formed the rich and unique religious and cultural tourism recourses what is different from the other parts of China who are reflected particularly clear in the religious culture in ancient guard cities in south Fujian. Ubder the joint effect of "Guard City" system and "Pu Jing" system, along with the decline of clan power and the growth of regime, religious culture in south Fujian has formed a unique and continues historical cultural characteristics. The ancient guard cities in south Fujian, now, is facing with the tourism development trend, as an important part of tourism recourses, studying the religious culture and the tourism development on ancient guard city in south Fujian is extremely necessary.This paper takes Fuquan Village, an ancient guard city in south Fujian, as an example which is located in the southeast of Jinjiang, Quanzhou City. On the basis of field survey, the paper explores the unique religious features and contents which formed during the settlement change and introduces the religious cultural resources in Fuquan Village. Through the analyze of the status of religious tourism in Fuquan, the paper points out the current situation and problems in religious tourism of ancient guard city in south Fujian, and gives further relevant suggestions to the development of religious tourism for the whole ancient guard city in south Fujian Province.
