At present, our country is in a critical period of economic transformation; in the meantime, implement the strategy of urbanization has important significance to the economic development of our country. What’s more, urbanization is not only beneficial to narrow the gap between rich and poor, to expand domestic demand, but also helpful to optimize the economic structure. Under the push of government, the urbanization level has been improved, but the urbanization development still exist many problems. In many key factors of the urbanization development level, industry is the key factors influencing the urbanization, at the same time, industrial agglomeration is a reflection of the economic performance at the industry level. Specifically, industrial concentration can not only optimize the industrial structure, enhance the competitiveness of industry, it also can play to the economies of scale, and thus it promotes the economic development of urbanization. As a result, we must attach importance to the development of the industry and the role of industrial agglomeration, and combine the industrial development and urban construction.Firstly, this article expounds the relevant theories of industrial agglomeration and urbanization. Secondly, it analyzes situation of industrial agglomeration and urbanization development in China. Moreover, the article analysis how industry agglomeration affect urbanization from the perspective of the impact mechanism and empirical analysis and explore different influence and reasons in different region of our country. At last, the article provides relevant countermeasures and suggestions to promote our country’s urbanization.
