The mobile newspaper demonstrated its powerful vitality since China Women's Daily released the first mobile newspaper. Relatively to traditional newspapers the mobile newspaper shows its superiorities such as fast transmission speed, convenient receiving, comprehensive transmission function and better interactivity. The importance of mobile newspapers highlights itself in the territories of politics, economics, culture and society life. The mobile newspaper appeared in the period of the historical inflection point of China's traditional newspaper media. The mobile newspaper expended profit space of traditional newspaper, opened another new profit channel plus the publishing profit and advertising, but reading and customizing mobile newspaper for the massive audience meets problems like different reading habits, content homogenization and unitary profit pattern.Chapter 1 explained the definition of mobile newspaper, reasons its appearance, its category, operation method and niche media ecology and we can also get the information of developing process and present situation of mobile newspapers. In the key Chapters 2 and 3 demonstrated content characteristics, service characteristics and consumption characteristics in the era of every media of mobile newspapers based on the economical aspects, the author also tried to investigate the possibilities of value transformation of mobile newspapers at present. In Chapter 3 we used empirical analysis The Legal Daily mobile newspaper to investigate the content characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of participators in the value chain. In Chapter 4, according to the case we drew a conclusion about the restraining factors of the development of mobile newspapers industry, and we also tried to make a prediction about the challenge of mobile newspapers in the 3G time, give corresponding suggestions and comments, wishing that will benefit the development of our mobile newspaper industry.
