With the continuous development of science and technology, wireless communication technology and the multimedia communication technology have become a hot topic of information industry development. In nowadays society, people's demands on real-time communication have changed from previous voice calls to multiple needs, such as images, voice, text, even video images. Combined with images, voice, text, and video images, communication service has become the hotspot in communications development field.The article states a design of short-range wireless digital video image receiver, which can understand and process field situation timely when people can't present for the bad production environment. According to wireless video receiver's overall flowchart, the system is divided into some functional units:video receiver module, video transmission network module, video decoding module and video image display module. Then the article analyzes and researches into each module.Hardw are and Software design principle, and program flow diagram are stated in details. Modular design proposal is used in the system's hardware design; Control module uses Cygnal Company's C8051F340 singlechip as the core chip. Wireless receiving module uses Norwegian DORDIC Company's NRF24L01 as the core chip. Manostat module uses AMS-1117 as manostat chip. SPI and USB serial buses are used to realize data transmission through wireless receiving modules and computer communication.The interface was written using VC development platform, explaining subassembly needed in writing process and flow diagram of the system. The function of interface is to real-time broadcast after unzipped processing received video images. The design has wide application prospect and important practical significance.
