P2p-based Video Sharing Technology In The University Network

After graduation, I have been specialized in modern educational technologies for over five years, during the period, I have witnessed the development of office computers from less to more and network from zero to expansion in colleges. Nowadays, multimedia devices have been installed to over 90% classrooms in the college, with the college approved as top 100 nationwide model higher vocational colleges, leaders and faculties all in the college pay more and more attention to the teaching quality and elaborate courses, facing the situation, how are the teaching resources of quality faculties integrated? How are the courses of award-winning faculties provided to more students and teachers for studying and borrowing in spare time? P2P technology, most prevailing on internet, has been widely adopted, which brings a favorable clew for current troubles. The paper aims to build a P2P-based Web services platform, which has a wide space for expansion and work well for us to add functions necessary and integrate at any time. The platform will create a favorable network sharing environment for teachers and students, through which, teachers may freely upload and release video resources of their own for more students to access at any time. As such, lots of quality video resources in the college can be fully utilized and exerted to the maximum. Through the collections of data, the open-source codes can be analyzed and improved, based on which, prototype systems can be designed to solve the problems existing in practice, and connect closely to actual operation, a set of P2P-based web server prototype systems will be developed, through the final system tests, the prototype systems completed will be tested.On basis of the systematic discussion upon P2P technology, the study is expected to provide an integrated and well-running framework for P2P application in the college, and assist the college to build a P2P-based web service platform, where the web platform will prepare a space to release and share resources such as video, audio and characters, besides, the expansibility of the web service may provide better service for teaching affairs in the college.
