Currently, the quality of Chemical Teaching mainly rest on the Chemical experiments. The fast development of Chemical has brought about several new challenges for Traditional instruction. First, the quality and quantity of equipments needed in chemical experiments can not meet the requirement, which most universities and scientific research institutions are facing. Second, in teaching practices, some absolute ideal situations can not be carried out by traditional experiments. Third, measures should be taken to relieve the difficulties and stress ,which are high institutions confront as for the funds, sites and equipments.In Recent years, VRL (Virtual Reality Laboratory) has become some kinds of teaching assistants. Compared to traditional teaching experiments, VRL possesses some advantages: microscopic view, saving experiments funds, defuses the experiments dangerously case. In the VRS (Virtual Reality System), with a desktop Computer, we used the 3D modeling technology to build the vivid experiment scene. So, we can execute the experiments by interacting with the Virtual Reality Laboratory system and to reach the targets talked above.This thesis gives an introduction to virtual reality technology and VRL, and it illustrates the advantages of exploring VRL with VRS and the significance of adapting VRL into teaching activities. In this thesis, the author first investigates the modeling methods based on the X3D technology. Then the author analyzes the video, audio and interaction techniques included in X3D technology, and explain how these techniques can be used in the research design.The author has deeply studied the X3D interaction technique, and finally proposes a feasible method to enhance the verisimilitude of VRL. The explanation of the work to the VRL is as follows: First of all, have explained totality and function of the VRL, and containing the assembly of the instrument, the collection and treatment of the data, the assistant (the experiment counselor in the reality) and so on; Secondly, to prove with the example of experiment of soap-film flowmeter; Finally, summed up the superiorities and deficiencies to the thesis.
