According to the rapid development of modern electronic and information technology, future information warfare requires all kinds of reconnaissance receiver to have wider input band-width,higher resolution and sensitivity,stronger anti-interference ability, to process multiple arrival signal at the same time, to be adapt to the more complex electromagnetic environment, and to have the real-time processing or sub-real-time processing characteristic. This thesis bases on one kind of wide-band digital channelized receiver, achieved signal source position estimation with ADSP TS201 by processing the data which is channelized.Spatial spectrum estimation is an important area in array signal processing which is widely used in modern electronic, communication, radar etc. In recent decades, with the high-speed development of signal processing technology, array signal processing technology used to realize spatial spectrum estimation has become the critical technologies. Therefore, this thesis investigated the super-resolution direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms first of all, especially in the DOA estimation algorithms based on the uniform circular array (UCA), and proposed the modified algorithm for hardware application. Simulation results based on MATLAB verify the correctness of the proposed method and demonstrate the proposed method has advantage on performance of estimation.In addition, board of signal processing with integrating 4 DSP chips (ADSP TS201) has been employed as platform of hardware in research, and spatial spectrum estimation algorithms have been used to estimate the wideband signal by band partition. In order to fulfill the requirement of real time processing when channelization receiver process numerous date, the accuracy and operation of estimation have been emphatically consideration in selection of algorithm for implementation of hardware . In this thesis, the modified PASTd algorithm is used for MUSIC and the iterative solution of inverse matrices algorithm for MVDR based on UCA to estimate the direction in sub-channel date.Finally, this thesis focuses on the achievement of hardware simulation and analysis of DOA estimation performance based on the 9-element UCA system, and investigates relationship between the system parameter- noise power spectral density ratio and snapshot of sample and the estimation performance such as accuracy and resolution of DOA estimation algorithm.In this thesis, it is in-depth analyzed and researched DOA algorithm based on the 9-element UCA system. Some conclusions of practical significance have been drawn through a lot of simulation and comparision, to be the reference for practical implementation of spatial spectrum estimation.
