Adaptive antenna Side-lobe Cancellation (SLC) is one of the effective measures to restrain active jamming. This paper studies the design and implementation of the digital processing model of Side-lobe Cancellers of some phased array radar by selecting partial antennas as auxiliary channels based on the SLC theory. The basic theory of SLC is introduced in the first place. Then several factors which influence the performances of the SLC are discussed, such as the number of auxiliary antennas, the existence of noise and echo signals and the inconsistence among channels. Simulation of this phased array radar SLC system is carried out then. The conditions for achieving the best side-lobe cancellation are proposed. By comparing the performances of the side-lobe cancellation and optimizing the selection of the auxiliary channels, the design of the SLC system is completed and the influences of SLC on monopoles angle-finding measurement and height-finding by maximum likelihood are discussed in further step. In the end, it is presented the code design and the implementation of the SLC based on the digital signal processor, as well as the test result on the single board.
