With the development of modern society, more and more scenes, such as mobile instant communicating, mobile events searching, and mobile enforcement need to use the technology of embedded platform, especially the one with the function of wireless communication, such as cell phone, wireless PDA and so on. These applications are made by the combination of embedded platform technology and computer technology. Comparing to traditional ways of instant communication and information inquiry, it's more flexible to places and adapt to new environments quickly.This dissertation focus on analyzing the mobile communication technology, combined with the embedded platform technology to develop a set of software platform based on the C/S mode. This platform can increase the service efficiency of library materials, made the data exchange become convenient between library and users, so the library materials that provided to the users will become more quickly, easily and safely. No matter the online query of readings or examine of borrow situation, both can be proceed under the mobile signal coverage. So that the resources provision function of library can be used more deeply, and the applications of library will rise to a new level.The content of this dissertation involved in mainly three parts: First, the development and feasibility of this system. Second, the design and realization of it. Third, the summary of this system as well as analyzing the application prospect of embedded communicating system used in school.From the aspect of system analysis, the tasks is to analyze the related operation methods, regulations, database and constraints of the existing system of ChengDu Industry College, then considering the adaptable situations of the system, establish the functional module of this system upon the existing library administration system, thus users can inquiry and update information on the available state.From the aspect of system design, on the basis of analyzing of the existing library system, developed the mobile client based on the J2ME programming language and the server program based on the technology of JAVA Servlet. This dissertation designed and realized the mobile library inquiry system through the OOP analyze method of UML, so that made the process of software design become controllable.Based on the above-mentioned contents, this dissertation designed and realized a completed embedded platform software system on the basis of the function of wireless communication, For the purpose of making good preparations to the further research and realize of other application software in Chengdu Industry College.
