As an important means of reconnaissance, surveillance and combat, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has been given wide attention by countries all over the world in recent years. Since the actual flight training brings about high-cost and high-risk, system simulation technology has been an indispensable tool with its security, economy and flexibility in the course of designing uav system. As background of uav mission planning software system, this dissertation studies two critical subsystems, that is, uav navigation system and data link system. Using software development technology, it achieves related performance simulation.At first, this dissertation briefly introduces the present development status of uav navigation system. Taking into account the limited payload, low-cost and high-autonomy requirements, GPS autonomous navigation is selected. After providing some information about the composition of GPS, the content of navigation ephemeris, coordinate and time systems, this dissertation focuses on satellites'position calculation, satellites'visibility judgment and geometrical dilution of precision (GDOP) computing. At the same time, it analyses how some factors related to the uav motion platform influence GPS navigation and positioning, such as vehicle's attitude and velocity.Then another object, that is uav data link system, is analyzed, including the system composition, functions, transmission information and other basic elements. And also, after analyzing the feature of uav ground-air communication and actual transmission requirements, this dissertation builds models of transmitter, receiver, transmission channel and interference, so as to simulate the external environment in the process of transmission.Further, a complete design scheme of uav data link's performance simulation software system is given. Based on the models that have been established, according to the specific process and steps, the real-time data link on-off analysis is achieved. The results are showed in the flight scenario that integrates terrain, making the whole simulation course more vivid.Finally, the simulation system's software development and runtime environment is defined. Using the idea of objected-oriented and modular design, the whole software architecture and implementation flow are designed. In combination with relevant inputs via user interface, the performance simulation results about GPS navigation and data link are presented and visualized as well.The navigation subsystem and data link subsystem provide two key functional aspects for uav mission planning system. This system that has been accomplished can meet basic requirements of simulation, and it has certain practical value. However, what should be put forward is that the extensibility of the system can be further improved, so as to make it promote easily.
